What is this?

This is a little idea I have had in the back of my head for a few months now, that I started creating ~2 months ago.

Essentially its an arcade manager, but the twist is that you create your own games ( with in built audio, programming tools ). The future goal is that you will be able to setup your own little arcade and create public lobbies, where players can come, pay you virtual coins to play your games or you can create a private lobby with friends and 1v1 them for fun.

The programming language is inspired by python and allows for a lot of flexibility, like having a global and player based local storage ( for things like high scores, world records ), has the ability to create 2 player games ( not yet fully tested, don't make 2 player games yet :D ), lets you not only change pixels, but draw polygons ( which means theoretically we can make doom ).

What still needs to be done?

I am a programmer first and artist second, so I still need to
=> Improve graphics ( models themselves as well as lighting )
=> Fix a few audio bugs + actually add audio ( currently the audio is minimal )
=> Create the whole Steam functionality ( achievments, cloud saves, lobby system, friend system ), currently the game does have functional networking code, but only in LAN, so... a lot of work ahead of me.
=> Also voice chat
=> make money eco system

How will the money eco system work?

Essentially every player will get a daily login reward of 20 coins. Paying a coin at an arcade machine will let you play it infinitely that day. Paying 5 coins will let you put the game in your own arcade, but 50% of any profit will go towards the original programmer ( the idea is that maybe with enough players some games will be so cool that they will spread all over the place ).

You will be able to use the coins for decors in your arcade as well as cosmetics.

So will the game be free to play with micro transactions?

No. There will be ways to earn coins by playing minigames. Currently I already have 2 minigames - whackamole and basketball, but in the future the plan is that there will be a sort of public lobby that will have a huge arcade of random games you can play alone and with friends. Playing will earn you coins, which you will be able to spend however you like.

How much will Steam release cost?

I have not fully decided this. Currently the idea is that it will be free to play, but it will cost 5$ to create your own arcade. So you will be able to join your friends arcade and hang out with them, but to actually make your own arcade, you will need to buy a license to do so ( an untradable steam item ).
